Bill Jacobs Monday Session at NBBC
Bill Jacobs of the Northern Bridge Club (Northern), runs a competitive duplicate session at the North Balwyn Bowls Club (NBBC) Clubrooms, on Monday afternoons.
These are Northern sessions, and all Bridge players, from all clubs, are invited and are welcome to participate. These sessions give everyone the opportunity to teach, learn, improve & enjoy our game of Bridge.
Administrative Details
- All players, from all clubs are welcome. (There are no limits on numbers)
- You must register on the Northern Website to attend this session each week. Bill uses the registrations to set up tables, boards and partners – so please don’t just turn up, and please don’t cancel without letting Bill know. (Contact Bill with any changes to your booking by phone or email )
- Singles are welcome! Just check the “I am single, looking for a partner” box on the registration. Bill will pair you up
- 12:30-12:50 – Bill teaches an optional Lesson with notes, so you can learn new skills
- 1:00- 4.00 – Duplicate Session
Costs & Payment
- Payment will be tap & pay by card, at a desk at the front of NBBC Clubrooms
- The optional lesson is $2
- Table fees are $12 for Northern Members; $14 for all others
Your Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for all Bridge players to learn, improve, and enjoy your game, regardless of the club/s you belong to. Our NBBC principles are:
- teach & learn – Bill is a wonderful teacher; attending the weekly 20 minute lesson allows you to learn new skills and refresh your understanding
- improve – the additional weekly duplicate session, will improve your game by:
- immediately practising the skills learned in the lesson, and
- increasing the frequency of your playing, and
- providing an opportunity to play against a new set of players
- enjoy – enjoy social connections, game, friendships in a friendly environment, and practise Bridge Etiquette
