Expressions of Interest Bridge & Bowls Weekend
Friday 26 July – Sunday 28 July 2024 Mantra Lorne
We have secured another excellent deal with Mantra Lorne for our weekend away – Our Club is booked, and Mantra Lorne are looking forward to seeing us.
Please invite your husband, wife, partner or friend. If they don’t play Bowls or Bridge, there is plenty to do and we will organise some after dinner activities.
Register your Expression of Interest
We have set up an online form for you to register your interest in attending the weekend. Please click on the link and fill out the form as soon as possible, and definitely by Friday 31st May.
This form provides us with potential numbers, room types and activities and will allow us to plan with Mantra Lorne.
At this stage it is not binding. Next steps will be early June, when we ask you to commit & confirm.

All rooms have tea & coffee facilities, iron, TV & internet access.
Package costs include accommodation, breakfasts, entrée and dinner, for the 2 days.
Additional costs will be Happy hour drinks (at happy hour prices), and Bowls and Bridge fees.
Happy Hour
Happy Hour is from 5 – 6pm on both nights, with exceptional finger food that can be treated as your entrée, held in the foyer.
Happy Hour drinks – Bancroft House Red, White wine, Champagne $7 per glass & $35 per bottle. Furphy original/ crisp lager stubbies $8, house spirits $9. The bar will be credit card only.
Meals
Dinner is from 6 – 7pm on both nights. It will be one course with alternating meals, served with 2 side dishes. *see happy hour for entrée!
Dietary requirements can be catered for. There will be different meals on the two nights.
Activities
Bridge
There are sessions on Friday afternoon & evening and Saturday afternoon & evening.
We play bridge in Conference Room 1; the room cost is shared by bridge players over the 2 days.
Hot tea, coffee & goodies provided;
Bridge players are welcome to attend any (or all) of these sessions.
We will try to finish the evening sessions by 9.30 pm.
Bowls
Bowls is played at the Lorne Bowls Club on the grounds of Mantra, TBC per game & can cater for 40 bowlers.
We will play one game on Friday afternoon & one game on Saturday (times TBC).
Their green is playing similar to our own.
Around Lorne
There are lots of things to do at Lorne – Qdos Art Gallery, Erskine Falls, tennis or putting green, lots of shopping and coffee places and some good easy walks, and also a heated indoor swimming pool.
